Travelling from Chipata CBD to Lusaka, just outside Chipata you will turn right onto the, “M12 Lundazi” road, which also leads to Mfuwe / South Luangwa National Park. From the turn –off, you will travel 6 kms when you will see our first sign, here you will turn right onto a gravel road and travel for 2 kms, where you will reach Mamarula.        You can also find us on Google Maps    GPS: Coordinates .-13.5839505 and 32.6118409.    We can arrange trips by taxi to     South Luangwa National Park

The perfect stopover in Zambia’s Eastern Province

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and tranquil stop-over for the night, while on your journey through Zambia’s Eastern province, and would enjoy sitting under a large, lush and shady Red Mahogany tree, enjoying the surroundings, then look no further than Mamarula.  
We are involved with Magwero School for the Blind and the Deaf by raising funds to help build the school and contributing maize meal to help feed the children
There are 3 chalets at the Campsite with two beds and ensuite bathrooms. Another 3 rooms are available for budget travellers and backpackers, with shared ablutions. Each room has 4 beds and we offer inexpensive rates per bed per night.  
The Boma in front of the Bar has several Braai /BBQ areas and a warm convivial fire place with tables and benches.
The Pitstop”  Restaurant and Bar.  Well known for the best T-Bones and Fillet Steaks in town. We are proud of our lively bar, where good friends are made. Wifi is now available. We are wheelchair friendly with many ramps on the pathways.
Situated just 10 kilometers from Chipata CBD towards Mfuwe, Mamarula offers comfortable and affordable accommodation or shady camping facilities with a pool to cool off.
We also have a private cottage which is located in a secluded area of the campsite, which can offer more privacy for our guests. The cottage has two rooms, each room has its own en-suite and also private lounge area, this is ideal for a family of 4 as one room has a double bed and the other room has twin single beds.

 Packs of ice are available for purchase as well as fresh chicken from our chicken farm. Due to extremely limited resources, please note we do NOT have firewood for sale

The 9 hectare small holding is surrounded by hills and other local small scale, self sustaining farmers. We have 7 Guest house rooms,  All en suite.  2 Rooms with air conditioning and a kitchenette.  DSTV is available in 6 of these rooms.   The campsite offers lots of space, plenty of shade and great ablutions.
Whether, it is just to get some exercise after a day’s long journey or to just take a stroll around and “stretch” the legs.  For the more energetic guest, there are some trails which can be explored, please enquire with management before heading out. Guests are very welcome to take a walk around the plot and see what other activities we are involved in: There is an ice cube production plant – “Met Eish”-, ice is packed and made available for sale to the public. We also operate a Still Mineral Water plant, which provides filtered, borehole water used for the ice and bottled mineral water. Note: Water in the rooms and campsite is all borehole water and is safe to drink. Much of the furniture in the bar and rooms is manufactured in our small workshop. The chicken on our menu comes from our home grown broiler chicken houses. Chicken braai packs are also available. A “Green-House” where vegetable seedlings are produced and our veggie garden There is a small fruit orchard, which produces passion fruit, lemons, paw-paw, mangoes. when we can keep the monkeys away! We also have a small herd of cattle and sheep and if you are lucky enough to be here at the right time, there is a chance you will see some young calves or lambs
